Grade A Palo Santo (Bursera graveloens)

Richly fragrant and purifying Palo Santo smudge sticks. Hand selected by us as some of the best Palo Santo. Very dense, oily, resinous, and long-lasting.

This Palo Santo is ethically sourced and sustainably harvested in Ecuador, from naturally dead and fallen trees only. Palo Santo trees must die of natural causes and lay on the forest floor for years before they develop their signature scent. Cutting live Bursera graveolens trees and letting the wood age does not allow this process to happen. 

These are pure wood smudge sticks only. Nothing added, freshly split, with only the bark removed. We import them directly under a permit which allows for the avoidance of chemical or heat sterilization.

Palo Santo incense wood physically cleanses the air by attaching to dust particles and making them fall out of suspension, as well as energetically cleansing an area, leaving the space and yourself feeling calm and relaxed. Studies also suggest that the antibacterial properties of the aromatic compounds go to work when you smudge your space, lowering airborne bacteria counts.
