African Myrrh Resin (Commiphora myrrha)

Sustainably harvested African myrrh resin is bark free and of beautiful quality. Myrrh is most commonly used for incense but has also been used for thousands of years as medicine both topically and internally. Its name comes from the Arabic word for bitter: Murr. Naturally, it is the epitome of bitter medicine. 

Commiphora myrrha resin is actually an oleo-gum-resin, made of more water soluble gum than resin, or essential oil. Therefore we recommend using an electric incense heater to get the cleanest and longest lasting scent.
